ISA
The ISA (Instituut voor Sport Accomodatie, Institute for Sports Accomodation), the former NOC*NSF (Nederlands Olympisch Comité*Nederlandse Sport Federatie, Dutch Olympic Committee*Dutch Sports Federation), is located in Papendal, The Netherlands. ISA is constantly making investigations into the perfection of Dutch sports pitches. In the field of grass and soil research, the laboratory is world wide recognized as an authority. The ISA also has a laboratory for the testing of sports floors.
Labosport
Created in 1993, Labosport is a private and independent laboratory specialized in sports and recreational turf equipment. The role of Labosport is to improve the quality of playground facilities in the area of safety, sport performance characteristics and durability. Labosport is a member of the I.S.S.S. (International Association for Sport Surface Sciences), is accredited by the French Ministry: Aménagement du Territoire, Équipement et Transports and by the I.A.A.F. (International Amateur Athletics Federation).
CST
The CST (Centre for Sports Technology) is the only independent test laboratory in the United Kingdom devoted exclusively to the study and testing of synthetic sports surfacing materials. CST is an entirely independent organization, with no commercial interest in any of the products on test. Its prime concern is to promote technical advances in the use of new materials and technology, by careful design and specification, backed up by independent testing. CST is the only laboratory in the world to be formally accredited by the International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF), the Fédération Internationale de Hockey (FIH) and the World Bowls Board (WBB), for the testing of surfacing products and installations.
OFI
Founded in 1946, the OFI (Österreichisches Forschungsinstitut für Chemie und Technik, Austrian Institute for Chemistry and Technology) consists of eight independent sections. Among these sections is the Institute for Sports Technology, responsible for the research, quality standards and approval of sports floors (artificial grass, natural grass, indoor sports floors, etc.).
SKZ
The SKZ (Süddeutsches Kunststoff Zentrum) - located in Würzburg, Germany - provides professional services to the plastic industry since 1961. Besides advanced training (conferences, seminars and courses), testing, development and research are the main working fields. SKZ was one of the first institutes in Germany which was internationally accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025 as a testing laboratory as well as according to DIN EN 45004 as an inspection body for outdoor and indoor sports surfaces. A formal accreditation by the FIH exists since 1987.
