Can lino products be installed in wet rooms (e.g. showers or bath rooms)?

No, lino products should not be installed in wet rooms, as linoleum is made of natural raw materials, it would not stay dimensionally stable.

Why does linoleum turn yellow when it is covered?

Linoleum turns yellow when covered because the oxidizing process is continuing. This is why it is antimicrobic. As soon as linoleum is exposed to light, it regains its original color.

Why does linoleum smell and is this smell toxic?

Due to the natural ingredients (above all linseed oil) and the permanent oxidation, linoleum has a strong smell which is not at all toxic and will disappear very soon. Another reason for a strong smell can be wrong maintenance products. If you need more information about cleaning and maintenance, please order our detailed cleaning and maintenance instructions.
